What is Botox:
Botox is a prescription drug that is injected into specific facial muscles such as the frontalis muscle and horizontal rhytids in the forehead and the orbicularis oculi around the eyes in order to cause temporary muscle relaxation. This results in reduction in appearance of the associated fine lines and wrinkles.

Treatment:
In a quick visit to our Botox and Dysport office just north of Detroit, Michigan, Dr. Salter will inject specific muscles with Botox® or Dysport® to temporarily reduce muscle activity. The treatment takes approximately 10-15 minutes to complete, and there is essentially no downtime or recovery. A very small needle is used, and the procedure is not usually painful. However, ice is available. You should begin to see results within a few days of treatment, and results can last up to 3-4months.
